Hmmm, last week was fun! I went to Shymkent (city two hours south of Taraz) to see the Nauriz celebrations. Nauriz is the Kazak New Year and they generally celebrate it by watching horse games and drinking way too much. There were almost 50 volunteers in town (most from the new group whom I don’t know that well) so it made for an interesting time. Shymkent is bigger then Taraz with about 800,000 people living there. It was interesting to see all the new shops and people on the streets. Very different from Taraz, but all the same, I was happy to get back home to Taraz. This week, I have been busy working on a new database in the office. The idea is to create an international database that local business leaders can use on order to develop business in the city. It is good to be busy and I find that the busy I am, the better my brain works. I still haven’t found a new Russian teacher but hopefully soon as I am still looking. Other then that, all is well in Taraz. I gotta go now as I am watching Resident Evil 3.

Нуууууу, на прошлой неделе была хорошо! Я поехал в Чимкент (город который два часа от Тараза) видеть праздник Науриза. Науриз новый год Казаков и они обычно празнват его смотреть игры лошадей и пить слишком много. Там были почти 50 волонтеров в город (большинство их из нового группы которая не знаю) так она была интересная время Чимкент больше чем Тараз и 800,000 людей живут там. Мне был интересно видеть все новые магазины и людей на улице. Очень разные чем Тараз но все равно я был рад возвращаться домой в Тараз. В этой неделе я был занят работать на новой база данных в офисе. Идея создавать международную базу данных для местных лидеров бизнеса могут пользоваться развить бизнес в городе. Это хорошо быт занят, потому что знаю, что больше работаю, значит чувствию себе лучше. Я уже не нашел нового репетитора русского языка но я наделось найти скоро. Ладно, мне надо идти потому что смотрю Обитель Зла 3.

Hello all! Well I knlw it has been a while since I have posted, like six months. A lot has happened since the last time I posted including trips to America, Croatia and Italy. Winter in Taraz has come and gone and at this moment we are preparing for central Asian new years. To tell the truth , I had just about decided to close this blog because not much interesting had been going on lately. I changed my mind because when I was in the states I realized that all the strange, interesting, downright amazing stuff that happens here to me everyday had become the norm for me so I guess I wrongly thought it was no longer worth writing about. The prob is , when I was home in the states everyone asked me why I was not posting on my blog. So I will try and get a post up at least every two weeks to let you all know what is going on and that I have not fallen off the edge of the earth. Cya later..

Yes ,yes, I know that I have not posted in a while, so let all your evil and vile consternations rein down upon me. The truth is that I have been so busy these last couple of months and so much has happened that it is really very hard to put into words what’s going on. Life here is so different and so much has happened that I sometimes almost feel a disconnect as to how I can possibly explain it to people not going through the same thing and living here- Or maybe I am just plain lazy.
